Picture Yourself Here at Montana’s Emerald Lake Property
Once part of Montana’s rich historic logging and mining heritage, Emerald Lake is a 30-acre, non-motorized, mountain lake carved deep by glaciers that left the water clear as gin, but with an unusual and beautiful green hue that welcomes swimmers today.

A fertile trophy trout fishery, the lake is supplied by a huge inflow of natural groundwater and surrounded by over 140 acres of private gated land that is slowly being developed with an environmental and wildlife friendly sensibility.
Only five lot/cabin packages per year will be built around Emerald Lake. Cabin packages will offer affordable energy and technologically efficient homes with such sustainable features as shared pathways to the lake and docks to minimize impacts to soil erosion and water quality.

To improve the value and safety of the Emerald Lake property for its homeowners, we’ve employed thoughtful thinning of trees and vegetation. This Firewise treatment improves the health and diversityof the ecosystem and increases the water and nutrients to the forest floor.

Eight lots in the Emerald Lake project are less expensive off-lake lots with spectacular views. Homeowners here have total lake access and priviledges including deeded access to the common area complete with barbeque area and community dock for swimming, sunbathing, diving, and tying up paddleboats, sailboats, canoes and other non-motorized boats.
